SPRING IS HERE!

Thanks so much to all of our Daisy families and staff members who showed up this past Saturday to help open up our garden and greenhouse and re-energize our planting efforts!

A hard-working group of students and adults cleaned up the areas; added loam/compost; and turned over fresh soil so that planting can begin.  Finally, it feels like spring!

Students are currently planting seeds in classrooms, which will be transported and transplanted in our greenhouse.  In addition, we have a "Tower Garden" of lettuces and greens in our cafeteria, where students can watch these salad greens grow as they eat lunch.  More photos to follow!

This Bulletin Board Says It All.......

As I walked past this bulletin board today at Daisy, I thought isn't that the truth!
Our students created such beautiful snowmen for this "Let It Snow" scene, one that we're living day in and day out in the world around us.

Hoping you can find the beauty--as well as some fun--in the current winter scene around us, just as our children do!

Keep warm and see you soon!

100th DAY OF SCHOOL

Friday, February 6, was the 100th day of school at Daisy.

Our students were involved in all kinds of exciting, enriching activities to celebrate our 100th day of school together.

Please join in our fun . . .

Drew and Brady came to school dressed up as what they envisioned they would look like--and act like--at 100 years old!

Indeed, we all felt "100 days smarter!"

Many students brought in needed items for our town's food bank . . .

Students contributed 100 "Happy Words" about school . . .

Happy 100th Day of School to All!

Thanks for 100 wonderful day at Daisy and let's continue to make each day here special, educational and inspiring!

Warmly,
Mrs. Rose
